About the Book

“Lean In” by Sheryl Sandberg is a game-changing book that has inspired a generation of women to take control of their careers and lives. As the COO of Facebook and one of the most successful women in tech, Sandberg shares her personal stories, experiences, and insights to empower women to lean in and reach their full potential.

About the Author

Sheryl Sandberg is a trailblazer in every sense. With a career spanning Google, Facebook, and her non-profit organization, she has been a champion for women’s rights and gender equality. Her TED talk, “Why We Have Too Few Women Leaders,” went viral and sparked a global conversation about gender and leadership.

How did I come to know about the book

I was a newbie in the corporate world, living in Hyderabad, and missing my family like crazy. One evening, I joined my sister and her friend Ruhi di for dinner, followed by a sleepover at her apartment. As my sister caught up with her friends, I decided to explore Ruhi di’s awesome pad and book collection. Ruhi di is an amazing girl boss, always supporting my sister and making us laugh. I had no idea she was a bookworm too! I stumbled upon “Lean In” by Sheryl Sandberg next to her bed and asked her about it. She gave me a quick rundown, and despite being a non-reader (textbooks didn’t count, right?), I started reading it that night. I was hooked, but I’m a slow reader, so I didn’t finish it until months later, after watching Sheryl’s videos online. That’s when I finally made time to devour the entire book!
