Welcome to Joy of Untangling—a space where I try to unravel the knots of my own emotions. Each blog is like a thread from a tangled ball of wool, representing a feeling, a thought, or a fleeting moment in my mind. Through writing, I trace the twists and turns of my thoughts; sometimes bright and hopeful, sometimes shadowed and messy, too complex for simple words. Thank you for wandering through these threads with me, for sharing in this journey of untangling.

Year 2024
Despite the challenges in both my personal and professional world, I felt brave and hopeful in 2024. In the face of uncertainties, I chose to live one day at a time. For my blogs, I found comfort in writing about the countless shows and movies I had watched… without completely abandoning my journaling blogs—the very reason this space exists.

Year 2023
I had the first surgery of my life—which was both nerve-wracking and scary. At work, excitement was lacking, growth had come to a stall and I found myself stuck. This year, I took a big leap of faith, enrolling in higher education. I immersed myself in work and studies to fill the void of longing for meaningful connections. I made occasional visits to my blog, just to keep the ball rolling.

Year 2022
This year, I felt genuine excitement at work… The challenges pushed me out of my comfort zone and encouraged me to learn new things. In my free time, I binge-watched many popular shows and movies. The year was an emotional roller coaster—I made some friends, and lost some too. I also stepped away from social media—Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (now X) permanently. This year, the focus of my blogs shifted to TV shows and movies—looking outside the mundane flow of life, where every day seemed like a repeat of the same events.

Year 2021
We were slowly getting back to normalcy after the pandemic, though it came with many ups and downs… My sister got married, my grandmother passed away. I made a career shift. I also picked up the habit of reading—both to cut down screen time and to calm my nerves during testing times. This year, I only documented my mom’s recipes; my mental space was far too clouded to brew anything more creative.

Year 2020
The year that broke me into a thousand pieces and built me back up—more resilient, both physically and mentally. The world came to a halt with the Covid-19 pandemic. Both my parents fell sick, we had to send mum to the hospital, and I was left wondering how bad my own health could get—while still keeping up with a full-time job that suddenly turned remote. I turned to the heavens for survival. After many years of a slowly growing career, I decided to go back to school—to learn something new and make myself better. In the middle of all these crises, there were also moments of joy: we enjoyed many delightful meals at home. Naturally, the focus of my blogs shifted from rambling about daily events to documenting my mom’s recipes and some movie reviews.

Year 2019
One of the most eventful years of my life. Friendships deepened, and I began to find real interest in work. I traveled to Vizag for the first time to attend a colleague’s wedding. I visited my family during Puja after two long years. I even went on my first international work trip. This was the year I grew more free-spirited, more open to the experiences of life… Of course, there were moments of anxiety and despair too—but things worked out in the end. As life grew busier, I spent less time in my head—and even less time writing, as you can see…

Year 2018
This year, I slowly adapted to life in a big city—carrying with me a wistfulness for home and a deep desire for connections. At work, I made a friend or two. On weekends, I’d try new dishes and check out newly opened restaurants. I produced around 100 blogs this year; not of great quality, but they helped ease my mind, which was constantly stressing over trivial things. Plus, I started taking an interest in food blogging.

Year 2017
I was an engineer trainee, trying to survive in an unfamiliar city, far from home. I felt like a fish out of water—going through so many changes all at once. Professionally, I was clueless; personally, I was lonely, full of thoughts but with no one to share them with. Naturally, that year my blogs mirrored my state of mind—scattered, even a little incoherent. I wrote about random things, small events from my daily life, and whatever happened to cross my mind.
