“Mountains or beaches?” they ask, but I yearn for both,
Despite fears of heights and drowning’s choke hold.
I dream of flying like a bird in flight,
And floating like a leaf on a serene summer’s night.
I long to behold the world’s breathtaking views,
To bow down in awe, and let my spirit renew.
To feel snowflakes melting in my palm’s embrace,
And escape the mundane, in winter’s icy space.
I wish to roam the world, untethered and free,
To chase the horizon, wild and carelessly.
To watch trees and houses blur, like a kaleidoscope’s spin,
And gaze at the distant sky, where my spirit can begin.
I crave the peace of sitting by a stream’s gentle flow,
With water washing over my feet, and my soul aglow.
Don’t hurry me home, let me linger, and breathe in deep,
For in nature’s embrace, my weary heart finds a place to keep.
I want to wake to birdsong, and drift off to the ocean’s roar,
To bask in rain’s refreshing touch, and let my darkness fade once more.
In silence, I seek solace, my eyes fixed on the clouds above,
My soul focused on healing, my heart overflowing with love.
Let me merge with nature’s grace, and gather my scattered parts,
To return whole, renewed, and strong, with a spirit that’s wild and free.
